We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Export Control Manager to join our client’s dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in export control management, particularly in the context of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and post-divestment/merger activities. The selected person will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with export control regulations and managing associated risks in alignment with our client's strategic objectives. This is a global role, offering a myriad of opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Lead and manage export control activities related to M&A operations, post-divestment, and post-merger integration.

·       Oversee a team of export control professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support as needed.

·       Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including VPs overseeing deals, legal counsel (internal and external), compliance department counterparts, and export control team members.

·       Work closely with entity CEOs or export control leaders to address export control requirements and concerns.

·       Regularly report progress and key insights to the VP of Export Control and senior management.

·       Engage in discussions with legal professionals and participate in high-level meetings to provide expertise and strategic guidance.

·       Maintain up-to-date knowledge of export control regulations and developments, ensuring compliance across all relevant business activities.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

·       Extensive experience in export control management, particularly in M&A and post-divestment/merger activities.

·       Proven leadership experience, able to effectively manage teams and drive results.

·       Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with exceptional proficiency in English and legal vocabulary.

·       Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and execute strategies effectively.

·       Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.

·       Willingness to travel, up to 2 times per quarter.
