Main goal: Responsible for functional and technical aspects of SOA & BPM systems that support Spain businesses, ensuring that IT Application Life Cycle standards are met in ongoing enhancements and maintenance, so also defining their evolution, as well as to evaluate the impact of regulations or new business requirements. It includes:

  • SOA Services for back-end functionalities (accounts, payments, partner data, funds, securities…)
  • BPM – Business Process Management as set of different workflows, some of them with high complexity as Know Your Customer – KYC one.
  • Process Manager: Front-end application to start and manage workflows, to follow up pending tasks, provide statistical information…. The application is integrated with branch scanners to have an end-to-end solution to scan and process documents in branches.


  • Identification and management of risk and issues associated with the application
  • Ensure that all the application changes are aligned with the application strategy, collaborating in the analysis and implementation of approved projects
  • Ensure maximum operational availability, stability and cost efficiency, striving for simplicity in designs & solutions by reducing current flows and processes.
  • Responsible for application maintenance tasks usually implemented by suppliers or offshore operating centers.
  • Responsible to ensure that all regulatory and compliance requirements are embedded into all solutions.




  • Experience: Hybrid professional with solid technical experience (3-8 years) in Development and Maintenance of Banking business applications. Able to understand complex Banking business processes and workflows due to his/her recent experience in digital transformation initiatives.
    • Development background with previous experience of 3+ years of Java development (Java EE, Web Services, JavaScript, HTML, Apache, WebLogic…) and 5+ years of experience as Analyst / Technical Lead
    • Technical expertise with enterprise integration platforms (SOA, ESB, BPM), in particular Tibco BusinessWorks and iProcess.
    • Desirable experience with Oracle 12c, Linux and cryptograhpy
    • Demonstrable DevOps-oriented mindset: Maven, TeamCity, Artifactory, JUnit, GIT (BitBucket), application monitoring and performance analysis
    • Desirable knowledge of other languages and platforms (C#, Spring Boot/Cloud, microservices, OpenShift)
  • Technical Skills: Experience in application solutions from technological perspective, using Agile methodologies. Ability to understand key aspects of technical platforms and infrastructure, generate ideas and create effective solutions in the financial services industry. Solid knowledge of software engineering, design patterns and software architecture. Experience on analysis of existing systems from high level architecture to application code review. Experience with technical documentation, architectural diagram, components, flows, use cases…
  • People Management: Demonstrated proficiency in working with global and local teams, managing vendors and/or 3rd parties.
  • Languages: Fluent level of English as well as high-level written skills, due to the international exposure of the position and constant communication with global technology teams.
  • Personal & Soft Skills: Team-player able to work under-pressure, meeting deadlines with multidisciplinary teams. Leadership and communication skills. Ability to identify risks, resolve conflicts and plan tasks.
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, IT or similar. Master is a plus.
  • Experience in Project Management and knowledge about the entire application development life cycle (planning, budget, approval, sourcing, monitoring and implementation) will be a plus.
