INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST – NATIVE ENGLISH in Madrid, SPAIN (m/f)

 
This is a top opportunity for an English Native speaker to join the Information Department of a multinational company delivering large-scale sports events. We are looking for a mature, active and high-potential Communications Specialist with at least 2-5 years of experience in highly-dynamic environments & challenging projects (someone able to balance multiple responsibilities at once, and doesn’t mind taking on new or different tasks, when necessary).  Note that it is a fixed-term temporary project (April 2019 -September 2020).
 

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
 

Main Goal: We look for a resolutive, multitasking and International Communications Specialist to join the Information Department, reporting to the Multimedia Manager and working within a team of 6 people (responsible for both external and internal communications, in anticipation of the launch of a new company intranet platform, as well as an increased demand for corporate presentations).
 

  • Contribute to manage and update the Intranet platform to support the delivery of the overall corporate/employee communications plan.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, error-free, and optimized to maximize employee experience and engagement.
  • Coordinates the preparation and distribution of materials to employees.
  • Responsible for keeping the internal communications calendar up to date.
  • Create and maintain an internal editorial content calendar.
  • Write, edit and produce a variety of communications for internal and external audiences
  • Develop creative and professional PowerPoint presentations.
  • Draft key messages or scripts from executive management for internal and external presentations in written or spoken form.
  • Collaborate with employees across the organisation and provide guidance and feedback on their communications projects.
  • Carry out periodic internal surveys or polls to identify communications needs.
  • Assist in handling media inquiries and interview requests.
  • Monitor news coverage about the company and the industry.
  • Perform other communications duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Experience: Prior experience (2-5 years) in Corporate Communications, Media TV & Public Relations. Ability to create graphics in support of communications materials. Solid knowledge of multiple communication platforms, including print, video, web, and intranets. Strong editing and proofreading skills. Knowledge in Sports is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, English or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Tools: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud. Knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
  • Languages: Native English. Fluent Spanish is a plus.
  • Personal & Soft Skills: Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a highly diverse and multicultural community is a must. Strong communication, organizational and project management skills.

  • Salary & Conditions: Full-time and fixed-term Temporary role (from April 2019 to September 2020). Salary conditions depending on the candidate experience. Position based in Madrid Center.
